PRINCESS BIZNOTCH ESSAY

A far too common trend in popular music today is shock value without virtue. As stereotypes are fortified via R-rated celebrity personas and super-fast lyrics, desensitized audiences become less reactive and allow more content to go unchecked. Audiences are inoculated with ideas and attitudes from invalid sources that pose and front with extravagant flair and misleading credentials. Celebrities harbor great power and privilege using these alter-egos, but it is not always done responsibly.

Princess Biznotch is a creative MC/persona with positive shock value and lyrical content. Songs are proponents of various causes and moral concerns; anti-crime, anti-violence, pro-social, pro-“clean, wholesome fun”, environmentalism and maintaining a healthy body and self-image. The objectives are to redefine the audience’s conception of rap and promote better use of power and speech by using a non-traditional voice and perspective.

            Princess Biznotch is a product of white suburban dissentience and dissociation. With Girl Scout virtues, Frederick Nietzsche’s insight and Machiavellian policy, wisdom and smarts promote more than rap itself. As a persuader, lyrics are carefully deliberated with great consideration for audiences in need. Every song is clean-cut in lexicon because each line balances truth and creativity, leaving no room for stagnant ambiguity.     

Conscious lyricism with whimsical, clever, and profound content inspires Princess Biznotch. Influenced by underground styles and philosophies, each and every track attempts to emulate multiple elements of hip-hop without abandoning her own style and flavor. Whence inspired to write rhymes, it is often ignited either by underground rappers’ lyrical content or by their equally funky and original instrumentals. Aurally pleasing melodies as well as smooth verbal deliveries are primary objectives for all Princess Biznotch material. 

            The target audience for Princess Biznotch and her agenda are English-speaking teens and adolescents who are fans of rap music which is not mainstream, those who appreciate alternative perspectives and philosophies, and those who recognize hip-hop as a form of expression even in a non-traditional sense. Some songs are geared for individuals or smaller segmented audiences, but a majority of the fanbase is built from audiences not necessarily part of such segments.

            The channels Princess Biznotch uses for transmission are face to face interactions, audio recordings, digital/graphical depictions, and written forms of lyrical expression. Most content is diffused via the internet and social media sites because it provides the means for storage and transmission. With social media sites like YouTube and Soundcloud that allow for reaching audiences direct, endless space for information on storage sites such as Blogger and Facebook

ensure Princess Biznotch will be an eternal yet elusive source for complex messaging,  original interpretations of information and also a resource for source-coded accounts of reality.

Thus Spake Princess Biznotch is an album which will be released in May 2014. Thirteen tracks comprise an algorithmic schematic symbolizing Princess Biznotch as a character, a human, and an instrument of communication. Designed to provoke thought, contradict popular beliefs, and promote free-thinking, the aural journey “Thus Spake Princess Biznotch” provides includes second order covert priming, pro-social operant conditioning mechanisms, and call-to-action propositioning using psychological methodology and time-tested cues. As a narrative, the album parallels the saga of Frederick Nietzsche’s Zarathustra as he endured isolation and discovered wisdom from within whence recognizing he was a godless will of self, ego, and virtue.

The face of Princess Biznotch, i.e. logo and icon, is represented by a cartoon graphic image of a three-headed panda, spewing rainbows in all directions whilst suspended in space; a blue sunny sky with puffy clouds provide the back drop for what seems like a playful product of a child’s imagination. However, the elements of such an avatar symbolize more than could ever be expressed in lyrical form. The album cover design shows how in one direction, hearts are being projected into space, musical notes in another, and third, a collection of cassette tapes eject from the beast.

The tapes which are being released so colorfully into space are labeled using Princess Biznotch’s deep-seated guidelines for being a great MC (Master of Ceremony) and effective speaker. These have been recognized and respected since even before the music project came to be. Extracted from Machiavellian philosophy, the three characteristics that which each and every track strives to balance between are that it is what I wish to say, what people want to hear, and also what people ought to hear. Somewhere inside such a triangle of idealism most certainly lies the Truth of the matter, whatever it may be. However, as a strong proponent of personal sacrifice as a royal responsibility and privilege, Princess Biznotch is fast approaching noble status as personal needs and agenda are masked and lightly woven between a far more significant and rewarding blend of material. 

The number three is a mathematical tool for balancing factors and measuring the scope of one’s perspective. Using trigonometric properties, any angle can be adjusted to accommodate alternative perspectives while still maintaining one’s respective balance between one’s affective dispositions, ethical standards, and cognitive beliefs. This is possible only through psychologically adopting Eastern philosophical principles of collectivism. This allows for the dismissal of currently held beliefs that ultimately define someone’s life as they have combined experiential beliefs with idealizations over time; thus one’s mental capacity is confined by unmerited restrictions which hinder the processing of new information and the conceptualization of alternative realities. It may be recognizant of self-deception or dissociation, but this process is distinguished by an honest acceptance that most of what is remembered about one’s own life is immeasurably distorted by their own selective perception, attention, and memory. If such a denial of self cannot be submitted without confabulating dissonance, one only must recognize and accept the ultimate reality that their own mind will inevitably decay in time, or the simple fact that other people’s memories are indubitably altered by force on a regular basis.

Once such beliefs are instilled for optimal scope and flexibility in perspectives, the act of puking rainbows can ensue. This is a figurative expression denoting a verbal release of indubitably honest speech which is constructed in a strategic yet chaotic manner with the ability to reach any audience in any direction, no matter what perspective is held on the receiving end. By using supreme truth statements and source-encoding, a full spectrum of affect can be transmitted and recognized by audiences with near-certainty, as long as the speaker entirely dissociates from the message, or remains completely objective about the message. An effective dissociation from a full-rainbow constructed message is demonstrated by syntactical arrangements which are non-disputable and algorithmically derived. By using conditional statements in combination with suppositional phrases, the speaker can suggest nothing but infer everything all at once. Never will the speaker be accused of passing judgment as long as each message be derived from universal truths or be in the form of a question, hypothetical in nature but honestly sincere in practice.
